GOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION 2024

From November 1 to November 5, 2024, at Tokyo Midtown, CRDS Trace Moisture Analyzer “DewTracer mini CRDS-H₂O,” a product co-developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and Shinyei Technology Co., Ltd., was showcased as one of the “Good Design Best 100.”

CRDS Trace Moisture Analyzer is a specialized measuring device used in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing. As the general public rarely has the opportunity to see such equipment, this award exhibition served as a rare and valuable occasion for many to witness the product firsthand. Exhibited alongside highly design-oriented consumer products, it stood out with its distinctive presence while demonstrating its significance.

GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024 Celebration Event

On the afternoon of November 5, 2024, “2024 Good Design Award Celebration Event” was held at the Tokyo Garden Theater.
Dr Hisashi Abe, Chief Senior Researcher at the National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ/AIST), and Mr. Shinichi Shibata, Senior Managing Director of Shinyei Technology Co., Ltd., attended the grand celebration.
Among 5,773 entries, “DewTracer mini CRDS-H₂O” was honored as one of the Best 100 and displayed on the large screen at the venue. This moment highlighted the success of the industry-academia-government collaboration, embodying this year’s Good Design Award theme.

CRDS Trace Moisture Analyzer DewTracer mini CRDS H₂O

The DewTracer mini CRDS-H2O is a trace moisture analyzer for gases that employs CRDS (Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy) technology using laser-based measurement.

Its proprietary optical design and spectral analysis technology enable unprecedented compactness.

It offers high-sensitivity, high-precision, and rapid measurement of trace moisture in high-purity gases, such as carrier gases and atmospheric gases, within a range of 12 ppbv to 20 ppmv (-100 to -55 °C DP).
